Member have access to monthly consortium meetings that include quarterly Tumor Board discussions highlighting interesting clinical cases across institutions.

Publication Opportunities

Since PRWCC inception in Aug 2019, >10 manuscript and >20 abstract publications have emerged from this collaborative effort in high-profile manuscripts (JCO, Blood, Blood Advances, Lancet eClinicalMedicine). Authorship included consortium sites that input data, generating widened academic opportunities across sites and academic rank.

Shared Mentorship at All Levels of Training

Mentorship promotes a culture of collaboration, where knowledge, expertise, and support are shared across different levels of experience. Through mentorship, members gain access to expert feedback and advice on research and clinical practice.

Data Access to Hypothesis-Driven Research

Data at an institutional level is often limited by sample size, precluding clinically actionable and significant findings. The PRWCC has eliminated regulatory and contractual barriers, thereby facilitating infrastructure to support multi-site research, fundamental to achieving robust, statistically significant data driving CAR clinical practice

Real-Time Patient Support and Query Opportunities

Members have access to a forum for real-time patient support. Clinical queries can be sent to a list-serve with a reach of >45 pediatric centers.

National Reputation

Member institutions that are also NCI designated centers, can exemplify their national impact in advancing research, improving care, and producing valuable scientific discoveries that improve understanding of pediatric CAR clinical practice through involvement in the PRWCC.

Trainee Academic Opportunities

Trainees can join with experienced mentors who provide guidance and support throughout their academic and clinical journeys and gain valuable exposure to interdisciplinary teams and learn how to design, implement, and analyze studies that have the potential to improve CAR clinical practice.

Collaboration Opportunities

Members join a large-scale, multi-institutional community of pediatric oncologists, researchers, and healthcare providers from >45 institutions spanning across the United States, Canada, and Australia. Members can stay connected and informed on emerging trends and practices and collective goals in the field.

Working Group Leadership and Participation Opportunities

Members have a platform to pursue specific areas of research, clinical care, or policy alongside oncologists, researchers, statisticians, and other healthcare professionals with similar interest through collaborative working committees. The PRWCC supports >35 working groups aiming to advance knowledge in their elected areas.

Central IRB Cost Coverage

The PRWCC utilizes a central IRB, Advarra, to prioritize efficiency, timeliness, and consistency in the review process and to streamline regulatory oversight. The PRWCC covers the costs for site activation and continuing reviews and overall reduces burden on local institutions.
