Vanessa Fabrizio
Dr. Vanessa Fabrizio is a pediatric transplant and cellular therapy attending at Children’s Hospital Colorado in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders with clinical and research interests in CAR T cell therapy, stem cell transplants for leukemias, and clinical trial development. She completed her pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/New York Presbyterian during which she obtained a master’s degree in clinical research. She then completed a transplant/cellular therapy fellowship at Duke University. Under the mentorship of Dr. Curran while at MSK, Dr. Fabrizio started her career in CAR T cell clinical research and joined the Pediatric Real World Consortium since conception. She has led and continues to lead multiple projects within the PRWCC and sits on the consortium’s steering committee. Dr. Fabrizio is the principal investigator at Colorado for multiple phase I/II clinical trials, including institutional CAR T cell trials for hematologic malignancies. Additionally, she is the BMT/CT fellowship director at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Michael Verneris
Dr. Verneris is a Professor of Pediatrics and the Barton Endowed Chair of Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant. His laboratory research focuses on the use of immune therapy (including CAR T cells and CAR NK cells) targeting leukemia and pediatric solid tumors. He has participated in a number of first in human clinical trials testing NK cells and CAR T cells.
