April Rahrig

Dr. April Rahrig is a board certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist who specializes in stem cell transplant and immunotherapy. Clinically, Dr. Rahrig focuses on the use of stem cell transplant and CAR- T Cell therapy in patients with high risk leukemia. Her research focus is on complications from stem cell transplant and CAR-T Cell therapy, including different endotheliopathies like veno-occlusive disease, thrombotic microangiopathy, and diffuse alveolar hemorrhage. She is an active member of Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigators (PALISI) Stem Cell Transplant Subgroup and the Riley Hospital for Children Onco-Critical care team.

Jodi Skiles

Dr. Skiles completed her fellowship training at Riley Hospital for Children. She is an Associate Professor at Indiana University School of Medicine and has worked at Riley Hospital for Children since completion of her training in 2012. She assumed medical directorship of the Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant & Immunotherapy Program in 2018. Since that time, she has launched CAR-T cell therapy and Gene Therapy at Riley and leads a team of 8 SCT/CAR-T physician scientists who collectively perform 70-80 cell therapy infusions per year. Dr. Skiles is the PI on multiple SCT and CAR-T clinical trials, including COG, PTCTC, BMT CTN, and CureWorks. Dr. Skiles personal research interests are in management of high-risk leukemias, specifically in the Adolescent Young Adult (AYA) population. She is very excited to be an active member of the PRWCC team of collaborators and looks forward to the many clinical questions this collaboration can answer together.
