Stephanie Lim
Stephanie Si Lim, MD MBA completed her fellowship training to become a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in 2020, and have since moved to Honolulu, Hawai’i to continue advancing my career at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center/Kapiolani Women’s and Children’s Medical Center. Hawaii is a special place to her, as this is where her husband is born and raised, and the community here comprise of a “minority-majority”, culturally heterogenous state which provides a unique opportunity to better understand issues relating to racial and ethnic disparities in childhood cancers. Here in Hawaii, one of her most important initiative is to bring CAR T therapy to our medical community, so that patients within the state and Pacific Islands can have access to this life-saving product without having to travel thousands of miles away from their family and friends. Aside from this, she is focused on disparities-related research projects, in hopes of promoting cancer health equity for all patients within this community.
